August Round Up

Sustainability, Superior Standards and…Sun

Sustainability is nothing new when it comes to Antognolla, but this month our work in this area was particularly evident.

Throughout the construction process we take the materials collected from our demolitions to reuse for filling. There will also be an external canopy fitted with solar panels to produce electricity.

We conducted works at Boiola lake to minimise its permeability and have also worked on the courses irrigation and drainage systems to optimise their efficiency.

The extraordinary heat this summer also meant that we had to give the course a helping hand using organic fertilisers. In spite of the unprecedented weather, thanks to our irrigation system, by using water collected from the lakes we have been able to effectively care for our vineyard.

The exterior of the Golf Maintenance Building is also progressing well, with work starting on the interior structure.

In terms of golf, this month Antognolla hosted one of the final stages of the WinGolf Race to Portugal, which was hugely successful. We will also be hosting the National finale next month! From the 27th and 28th August, we also held the highly anticipated annual Bizzarri Doubles Cup.

Finally, we are very proud to see our hard work paying off, with Antognolla Golf being listed in the top 20 of the 100 best golf courses in Italy, demonstrating the superior standard of our course and services.
