Antognolla Golf nominated as ‘Italy’s Best Golf Course’ at World Golf Awards

After being crowned ‘Italy’s Best Golf Course’ at the 2022 World Golf Awards, Antognolla Golf has once again been nominated for this prestigious award at the 2023 ‘Anniversary’ edition of the Awards.

Now in its 10th anniversary year, the World Golf Awards celebrates world-class golf courses and excellence in golf tourism, and is widely considered to be the Oscars of the golf tourism industry. The winners of the awards are chosen by experts in the golf tourism industry as well as by golfers who can vote for their preferred club.

Accepting the award nomination on behalf of the owners, Golf Director César Burguière stated, “Last year, we won the award for the second time, which cemented our reputation amongst Europe’s finest golf courses. This new nomination validates our commitment to excellence and our unwavering dedication to the project.

Over the past five years there have been significant investments and upgrades both on and off the course. As a result, we are quickly becoming recognized as a top tier venue with championship level course conditioning in a beautiful setting, here in the green heart of Italy. This latest award nomination can be seen as a reward for all the hard work the Antognolla team undertakes every day to offer golfers an unmatched experience.

Winning this award last year helped increase our exposure as well as the number of visiting golfers. We now appear across a wide range of international golf course rankings and we receive visitors from many new markets. Italy has fantastic golf courses and we take pride in being amongst the finest in the country and in Europe. Lastly, with the 2023 Ryder Cup taking place in Rome, we expect to see Italy at the forefront of European Golf over the next few years.

We would like to thank everyone who has already voted or plans to vote for us, and we look forward to welcoming more guests and players to Antognolla Golf in the future.”

Antognolla Golf is one of the most spectacular and challenging golf courses in Italy, conceived by renowned designer Robert Trent Jones Junior. The clever layout makes the course appealing to golfers of all levels. The team at RTJII has also carefully guided improvements to the course as part of a significant investment programme to ensure all year-round playability and a world-class golfing experience.

Additionally, our exceptional golf offering will be complemented by the Six Senses Antognolla castle and resort, whose restoration is in progress.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel Yas Island and Yas Links Abu Dhabi on October 23rd 2023.
