Federico Ricci appointed as CEO of Antognolla Resort and Residences

Antognolla Resort and Residences has appointed Federico Ricci as its CEO. A highly experienced professional with solid management skills, Mr Ricci will lead the next phase of the project.

Originally from Umbria, Mr Ricci, 48, has a strong track record in senior executive roles in several sectors, including information technology, manufacturing, finance, pharmaceuticals, and infrastructure. He has worked in a range of corporate structures, from family-owned businesses to companies backed by private equity as well as listed companies. Throughout his career, Mr Ricci has held key leadership roles in the areas of governance, sales, marketing management, and general management, including as managing director. Most recently, he spent five years serving as Chief of Staff to the President of the Umbria Region.

‘I am thrilled to embark on this new journey as CEO of Antognolla Resort and Residences, a company with immense potential for growth and development’, said Mr Ricci. ‘I would like to thank the Board for entrusting me with this exciting and complex challenge. I have two main goals. First, to lead Antognolla in achieving its ambitious plans by focusing on its natural international appeal in combination with the unique identity and charm of our country. Second, to highlight Antognolla’s connection to the region and to establish it a flagship initiative when it comes to the sort of human, environmental and economic sustainability that defines Umbria’s heritage.’

Commenting on the appointment, Andrey Yakunin, Chairman of Antognolla’s Board of Directors, said: ‘We are delighted to have Federico Ricci join us as our CEO. We are confident that, with his expertise and leadership, he will play a crucial role in Antognolla’s further growth, building on the strong foundation that we have established in recent years.’

Antognolla Resort and Residences is one of Umbria’s most prestigious tourism and real estate destinations. The resort, which will be operated by Six Senses, a globally recognised hospitality brand, aims to promote a new concept for high-end hospitality that combines culture, sustainability, and exclusive guest experiences for international visitors, as well as a wide range of high-quality services, including an award-winning golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.

Heritage preservation, sustainability, and environmental conservation are core pillars of the project, in line with Six Senses’ philosophy. The project is registered with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the US Green Building Council.

With a focus on creating tailor-made experiences, Antognolla Resort and Residences is committed to promoting new opportunities for sustainable development in Umbria. According to a recent PwC study, in 10 years the initial investment of EUR 173 million in Antognolla Resort and Residences will generate an added value of EUR 1.155 billion, including EUR 461 million in Umbria alone. In addition, 3,106 jobs will be created: 1,477 directly and 1,629 indirectly.
