Antognolla: a golfing destination
Open all year round, the 18-hole 6,112m long golf course at Antognolla is a course with truly exceptional playing conditions… and views. Lined with large sections of undulating trees, forest covered hills and a reputation as one of Italy’s most beautiful but challenging golf courses; the Antognolla gofing experience is one for your bucket list.
Award-winning
Rated Italy’s best golf course in 2020 and 2022, Antognolla has had a constant stream of acclaimed golf tournaments take place across its cliff-lined fairways over the years - it was selected to host the 2019 PGA of Italy Championship, as well as the international 2021 Alps Tour Golf tournament.
Antognolla Golf has been the subject of further acclaim, with nominations at the 2024 World Golf Awards in the categories of Italy’s Best Golf Course and Europe’s Best Golf Course.
Sustainability
In 2020, new irrigation and drainage systems were installed along with a computer-controlled moisture management system to ensure year-round usability. Sustainability is a central focus at Antognolla, with a GEO-certfoed golf course, granted to environmentally sustainable and socially responsible projects that help conserve nature, save resources, and contribute to the calls to climate action. Having undergone a large multi-million euro investment in 2018, the course has been able to reposition itself with sustainability at the forefront - rainwater is collected in man-made lakes used to irrigate the course in dryer months, and across the wider resort in the future, as part of Antognolla’s water conservation system.
Famous faces
“I can say without reservation that the greens are some of the finest you’ll see here in Italy and the views from the course are simply spectacular” — GARY PLAYER
Designed by legendary architect Robert Trent Jones Jr, the golf course has seen many famous players over the years, namely Italy’s most successful male golfer Costantino Rocca and nine-time major champion Gary Player. Whilst challenging, the careful design of the course makes it enjoyable and satisfying for golfers of all abilities, from pros to enthusiastic amateurs!
