Antognolla Resort and Residences commences construction and renovation works
Antognolla Resort and Residences is commencing construction works on the Golf Maintenance Building and the refurbishment of three buildings at Colleprato, the old farmhouse. These works are due to be completed later this fall.
Thanks to renovation work, the existing Colleprato farmhouse (together with two annexes of ~ 450 sqm) will be converted into a Show Villa project, which will be available for viewings by potential buyers of the resort’s future residences. This will be an amazing opportunity for potential buyers to see the residences’ and villas’ future design and, if necessary, to stay in the villa and try it out for themselves. The Casali will be finished and furnished to the same standard as the future Six Senses Antognolla Resort and Residences hotel, and will adopt design solutions used for the New Borgo Villas. In the future, the Casali will be fully integrated into the Six Senses Antognolla Resort & Residences and its facilities.
The new Golf Maintenance Building, (approx. 600sq.m.) located at the Eastern edge of Lake Boiola, . is spread over two floors and will include all the functions like offices for the golf team, staff accommodation (canteen, showers, etc.), a workshop for repairing golf machinery, and machinery storage necessary for the golf court management at the expected level of quality which one of a top national golf courses deserves. The building construction will be driven by a “Km0” impact starting from the reuse for filling of materials linked to the recent demolitions completed close by the GMB site. The external areas will comprise of staff parking and machinery over two levels, as well as an external canopy with photovoltaic panels to produce electricity. Heating and cooling functions will be supported by heat pumps. The construction of a new Golf building is a continuation of Antognolla’s investment in the development and renovation of golf infrastructure thatbegan in 2017.
Luca Aiwerioghene, senior construction manager at Antognolla Resort and Residences, commented: “The start of construction works marks a new chapter in the project’s development. There is a significant amount of work ahead; however, I am proud to underline that all of it will be done respecting the principles of sustainability. Once ready, the property will use a highly energy efficient VRV (Variable Refrigerant Flow) system for under-floor heating and cooling allowing for a reduction in electricity consumption on site”.
The project’s management team has always paid special attention to sustainability. Construction and refurbishment works are no exception. In this vein, photovoltaic panels will be installed to generate electricity for the Golf Maintenance Building. Additionally, the existing Colleprato Casale will be insulated internally in order to meet modern standards of energy efficiency. Antognolla Resort and Residences is also committed to supporting Umbria’s construction sector and, as such, finishing materials for Colleprato Casale will be sourced locally.
