February Round Up

Pruning, Topdressing, and Preparing for Spring

Golf in Antognolla is a year-round sport. In February, we held several tournaments on our freshly top-dressed lawn. One of which was sponsored by the local cashmere producer Rocco Ragni and was attended by 30 participants.

Speaking of wine, we have now begun pruning our vines in order for them to strengthen and yield flavorful grapes. We know that wine is best accompanied by a luscious olive appetizer, so we are in the process of pruning our olive trees as well. Pruning is an important step in the cultivation of vines and olive trees as it ensures the health of the crops. At Antognolla, pruning becomes a sunny tradition.

With locally grown food and specially crafted recipes, La Boiola provided a naturally romantic atmosphere for a lovely Valentine’s dinner. More special events, a new menu, and a blooming spring await our guests.
