World Golf Awards 2024: Antognolla is the ‘Best Golf Course in Italy’

Antognolla Golf won the title of ‘Best Golf Course in Italy’ at the World Golf Awards 2024, one of the most prestigious awards in the industry. Already winner of the 2020 and 2022 editions, Antognolla once again confirms its supremacy on the Italian and international scene.

‘It is an honour for us to bring the title of ‘Best Golf Course in Italy’ here in Umbria for the third time,’ commented César Burguière, Director of Antognolla Golf. ‘This award reflects the great dedication of our team, which is always committed to guaranteeing our members and guests a high-performance course. However, we are not stopping there: our goal is to constantly improve, so as to confirm ourselves, day after day, as a destination of excellence for luxury golf tourism.’

The golf course at Antognolla has undergone major investments over the years, making it playable all year round, and in 2021 it obtained GEO certification. For irrigation, it relies on reservoirs fed by rainfall so as not to impact local water reserves and optimises water use thanks to a weather station capable of monitoring weather conditions in real time. It uses on average 25 per cent less water than traditional golf courses, and in the last three years has reduced the use of chemical fertilisers: to date, 80 per cent of those used are organic.
